Within the competing mobile accessories market, Kingstate Electronics Corporation
won distributorship of HIMEC and signed a distribution agreement with HIMEC's Taiwan representative Rifcom on Feb. 14 for boarding the range of its mobile communication product line. HIMEC is a famous mobile communication company in Korea specialized the key components of mobile phone and serves the Korean pioneering mobile communication company Samsung Electronics as a main registered supplier. By utilizing its distribution network, HIMEC produces the mobile phone camera reached the Korea market share over 80%. Kingstate is going to offer a range of mobile accessories including mobile phone camera, mobile phone flash, chipset and modules, etc.

In Asia, Japan and South Korea both have bright performance in the mobile communication field, Japan leading company J-Phone and NTT Do Co Mo launched phone camera hit the market in 2002. According the prediction, South Korea might also exceed the market share 40% this year. In addition, global mobile phone manufacturers of Motorola, Nokia and Samsung are publishing the critical component phone camera as the main stream product in 2003. As to the mature mobile phone market, the developing multi-function colorful mobile phone will replace the traditional mobile phone as the most powerful trend.
