Compact High-Sound Pressure Buzzers for IoT & Alarm Systems
Recently, the number of household IoT devices on the market has been gradually growing. In addition to the internet functions, etc., there is also a demand for a higher sound pressure level (SPL) and internal space requirements of the device. IoT devices usually need a modern design, so there must be a look for the small size of the component and meet the requirements of SPL.
Therefore, Kingstate designed a powerful component for these kinds of alarm systems, which can be used in not only IoT devices but also other notification systems.
Traditional buzzers usually open the soundhole on the top. This kind of design can efficiently have high SPL, but it also needs a big case to support it. The KPEG137A30 series is the new design that could keep the SPL to support the smoke detector regulations (85dB(A) at 3M) and also reduce the volume by about 60% (compared to the KPEG132H-30P).
According to experience, most IoT or alarm systems usually need to be mounted on the wall, ceiling, or desk. Recently, some devices have added a monitor on the top, and it is hard to put the traditional buzzer inside. At the same time, we needed to avoid the monitor, so we changed the soundhole to the side. The aim is to avoid the monitor or wall. This is an advantage of the KPEG137A30.
As per the customer's requirements, Kingstate could also provide solutions for the circuit of the KPEG137A30 series.
